If you missed the launch of Maina wa Kinyatti’s book, History of Resistance in Kenya 1884-2002, then you indeed missed a grand event. The exhibition room at Goethe Institute was packed beyond capacity with many enthusiasts forced to remain standing.
The event was graced by James Orengo, Kabando wa Kabando, the Deputy ambassador, Cuban Embassy Okello Oculi(a Ugandan writer and poet) among many other, writers, civil rights activists and book lovers.
There was also some poetic entertainment by Grand Master Masese, Githuku Ndungi and yours truly. Catch a glimpse of that here.
